Chicago!

Our trip to Chicago was fantastic!  If it was about 800 miles closer to the East Coast, we'd move there in a heartbeat.  A good friend of ours lived there for a few years and gave us the lowdown on some great bars and restaurants not necessarily in the heart of Chicago.  We loved having the insider's perspective. 

A hobby of ours is architecture and Chicago did not disappoint!  Between the mind blowing skyscrapers and Frank Lloyd Wright out in Oak Park, we were on Cloud 9 all week.  Oh and have I mentioned the food?!  Living in a smaller city, food options are minimal at best.  We kind of got used to it, until we went to Chicago. Plus, it didn't hurt that we got hooked up by our hotel which was right in the middle of Michigan Ave. - Hello new Longchamp purse and Kate Spade ipod case!

We're back to knowing what we're missing.  Between walking and public transportation, it's so easy to get around.  Most of all, it reminded us how much we love the big city life.  It brought back tons of memories of our time in Philadelphia.  As I said before, it was a fabulous vacation, and the perfect place to celebrate our 1st anniversary as Mr and Mrs!
